Sensex soars 333 pts, Nifty advances to 19,820; realty and financial stocks lead, NTPC, Coal India shine

Key domestic indices soared higher on Friday to touch one-month highs led by gains in finance, energy and consumer durables stocks. BSE benchmark Sensex climbed 333.35 points, or 0.50 per cent to 66,598.91, while broader NSE Nifty50 jumped 92.90 points, or 0.47 per cent to close the session at 19,819.95.
NTPC, Coal India, BPCL, Tata Motors, L&T, Hero MotoCorp, Adani Ports, ONGC, Bajaj Finserv, Bharti Airtel, and Titan were the top gainers in today’s trade.
Meanwhile, UPL, Eicher Motors, Apollo Hospitals, UltraTech Cement, SBI Life, ITC, Tech Mahindra, Tata Consumers, and Dr Reddys were the top losers.

All broader market indices, except for India Vix, ended in green. Nifty Midap 50 gained 1.10 per cent, Nifty Midcap 100 rose 0.95 per cent, Nifty Midcap 10 jumped 0.93 per cent, and Nifty Smallcap 50 climbed 0.91 per cent.
Sectorally, Nifty Media slipped 0.97 per cent, followed by Nifty Pharma at 0.36 per cent. Meanwhile, the realty index jumped 2.12 per cent, Nifty Financial Services 25/50 gained 1.52 per cent, consumer durables jumped 1.38 per cent, and Nifty Oil & Gas climbed 1.12 per cent.
