Even as the Union government looks to tweak the production linked-incentive (PLI) schemes for some sectors, it is expecting disbursals to likely increase to Rs 13,000 crore to eligible firms.
Rajesh Kumar Singh, Secretary of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Friday said disbursals for PLI schemes will be higher this year along with some “course correction” for certain sectors which are lagging behind in the scheme. “I think it (disbursals) will go up to about Rs13,000 crore this year”, he said.
