Ant Group plans restructuring, paving way for Hong Kong IPO: Report

Key domestic equities inched higher on Wednesday to snap three-day losing streak, lifted by gains in L&T, Tata Motors and ITC. BSE benchmark Sensex jumped 351.49 points, or 0.53 per cent to close at 66,707.20, while broader NSE Nifty gained 93.30 points, or 0.47 per cent to end the session at 19,773.90.
In the intraday session, Sensex jumped over 540 points to touch an intraday day high of 66,897.27, while Nifty50 touched 19,825.60.
Larsen &Toubro (L&T) jumped around 3.50 per cent today to close at Rs 2,650.90 on BSE after the company’s net profit climbed 46.5 per cent to Rs 2,493 crore in the June quarter, and its board approved a share buyback worth Rs 10,000 crore, at Rs 3,000 per share.

After two days of losing streak, ITC was among the top gainers today, as it jumped over 2 per cent to close the day at Rs 471.95 on BSE.
L&T, ITC, Sun Pharma, Reliance, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Cipla, Britannia, Axis Bank, Infosys, UPL, IndusInd Bank and SBI were the top gainers in today’s session.
Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Finserv, M&M, Apollo Hospital, Tech Mahindra, Asian Paints, Divis Lab, SBI Life and Titan were among the top losers today.
Broader markets also extended the rally, as all indices ended in the green. Nifty Smallcap 50 jumped 0.66 per cent, Nifty Midcap 50 gained 0.56 per cent, Nifty 100 climbed 0.49 per cent, Nifty 200 rose 0.48 per cent, and Nifty Midcap 100 jumped 0.44 per cent.

Sectorally, only auto and consumer durables indices closed in the red. Nifty PSU Bank climbed 1.50 per cent, Nifty Realty climbed 1.19 per cent, Nifty FMCG rose 1.05 per cent, and the media index jumped 0.93 per cent.
