BMW’s first fully electric car BMW iX1 xDrive30 sold out for 2023 on first day of launch: All you need to know

BMW’s first fully electric car, BMW iX1 xDrive30, was completely sold out for 2023 within a few hours of its launch in India on Thursday, the German carmaker announced.
BMW iX1 was launched yesterday as a completely built-up unit at an ex-showroom price of Rs 66.9 lakh. BMW iX1 is the first-ever pure-electric version of the X1 and fifth EV launched by BMW India after the i7, iX, i4 and Mini SE.
Bookings for BMW’s first fully electric car had opened exclusively online and received an overwhelming demand and the electric vehicle (EV) sold out completely this year.

The luxury EV has a range of up to 440 km (WLTP), and can recharge up to 120 km of range in only 10 minutes. BMW iX1 can recharge up to 80 per cent of the range in 29 minutes at public high-speed charging stations and has a low consumption of 18.1 – 16.8 kWh/100 km through technologies such as recuperation during braking.
The EV uses a dual-motor setup with a combined output of 313 BHP and 494 Nm. The German luxury carmaker claims that iX1 has a 0-100 km/h time of 5.6 seconds producing 313 hp and a top speed of 180 km/h. It is equipped with Adaptive M Suspension and an all-wheel drive system featuring electronically controlled ‘Automatic Differential Brakes/Locks’ (ADB-X).
The deliveries of BMW iX1 will start from October onwards.
