The tenure of Vivek Singh, Officer on Special Duty to Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, has been curtailed with effect from July 17 on personal grounds, an office memorandum by Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) said.
The DoPT order dated July 5 mentioned that the Department of Expenditure had issued an office memorandum on this on June 21, following which the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved it.
Earlier in January 2022, ACC had approved Singh’s appointment as OSD to Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister for four years from the date of assumption of charge or on co-terminus basis with the minister or till further orders, whichever is the earliest. He was earlier the additional PS to FM.
