Domestic equities soared higher on Wednesday tracking gains in global markets. BSE benchmark Sensex jumped 393.69 points, or 0.60 per cent to 66,473.05, while broader NSE Nifty 50 jumped 121.50 points, or 0.62 per cent to 19,811.35.
Barring India Vix, which slipped 2.52 per cent, all broader market indices closed in green today. Nifty Smallcap 50 jumped 0.93 per cent, Nifty Microcap 250 gained 1.05 per cent, Nifty Smallcap 100 climbed 0.84 per cent, Nifty Smallcap 250 rose 0.69 per cent, and Nifty 200 and 500 each jumped 0.60 per cent.
Nifty PSU Bank slipped 0.73 per cent, led by a 3.22 per cent drop in Bank of Baroda shares, after the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) banned the lender from onboarding new customers via its mobile app.

Sectorally, apart from PSU Bank and IT, all indices closed in green, as Nifty Auto jumped 0.92 per cent, FMCG jumped 0.87 per cent, Nifty Media jumped 0.86 per cent, realty gained 0.84 per cent, and oil & gas sector gained 0.73 per cent.
Hero MotoCorp, Grasim, Wipro, UltraTech Cement, Reliance Industries, Dr Reddys, Hindustan Unilever, Cipla, M&M, HDFC Bank, NTPC, Nestle India, Kotak Mahindra Bank and UPL were the top gaining stocks in the Nifty 50 index today.
On the other hand, HCL Tech, Coal India, LTI Mindtree, SBI, TCS, Infosys, Tata Steel, and ONGC were the top losers.
