Domestic equities soared on Thursday in line with global markets after the US Fed Reserve’s signalled likely to pause on future rate hikes. BSE benchmark Sensex jumped 489.57 points, or 0.77 per cent to 64,080.90, while broader NSE Nifty50 climbed 144.10 points, or 0.76 per cent to 19,133.25.
In the 30-share Sensex pack, only Bajaj Finance and Tech Mahindra closed on a negative note. Meanwhile, in the Nifty50 pack, Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, HDFC Life, ONGC, Adani Enterprises, Divis Lab, Bajaj Finance, and Dr Reddy were the net losers.
