After opening lower, key domestic indices rallied in the second half of the trade on Thursday, supported by gains in Coal India, L&T, and IndusInd Bank. BSE benchmark Sensex gained 385.04 points, or 0.58 per cent at 66,265.56, while broader NSE Nifty50 climbed 111.95 points, or 0.57 per cent to end the session at 19,723.
Broader markets also extended the rally, as only Nifty Midcap Select closed flat, in red. Nifty Midcap 100 climbed 0.73 per cent, Nifty Smallcap 50 rose 0.67 per cent, Nifty Smallcap 250 rose 0.60 per cent, and Nifty Midcap 150 and Nifty Midsmallcap 400 gained 0.59 per cent each.
Sectorally, Nifty Realty gained 1.45 per cent, Nifty Financial Services 25/50 rose 1.18 per cent, the media index climbed 1.02 per cent, and Nifty Private Bank jumped 0.92 per cent.

Meanwhile, Nifty FMCG slipped 0.92 per cent after Tata Consumer fell 2.27 per cent. Nifty Pharma fell 0.34 per cent, while metal and healthcare indices slipped 0.15 per cent each.
Coal India, L&T, IndusInd Bank, SBI Life, SBI, Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, LTI Mindtree, Axis Bank, NTPC, HDFC Life, Maruti Suzuki, and Power Grid were the top gainers in today’s trade.
Meanwhile, stocks that lost the most were Tata Consumers, ONGC, Britannia, M&M, Sun Pharma, Cipla, Infosys, UltraTech Cement, Hindalco, and Hindustan Unilever.
