Domestic equities soared higher on Tuesday a day after broad selling amid the Israel-Palestine war and after IMF raised India’s FY24 GDP projection. BSE benchmark Sensex 566.97 points, or 0.87 per cent to 66,079.36, while broader NSE Nifty 50 climbed 177.50 points, or 0.91 per cent to 19,689.85.
Barring India Vix, all broader market indices closed in green, as Nifty Midcap 100 and Nifty Microcap 250 jumped 1.36 per cent, Nifty Next gained 1.35 per cent, followed by Nifty Midcap 50 at 1.34 per cent, Nifty Midcap 150 at 1.24 per cent, Nifty Smallcap 50 at 1.21 per cent, and Nifty Midsmallcap 400 at 1.20 per cent.
