Domestic equities plunged on Wednesday as oil prices jumped amid intensifying conflict in West Asia. BSE benchmark Sensex fell 551.07 points, or 0.83 per cent to 65,877.02, while broader NSE Nifty 50 slipped 140.40 points, or 0.71 per cent to 19,671.10.
Only Tata Motors, Sun Pharma, Maruti Suzuki, and M&M closed in the positive territory in the 30-share Sensex pack. Bajaj duo – Bajaj Finance and Bajaj Finance – were the top laggards.
